How to attract the right people

When I got admission into the University seven years ago, I was a novice, a shy one. 

I was trained to be a 'loner' and an independent fellow. So, it was difficult and almost impossible to ask anyone for help, not even for directions. 

I knew I was going to have a hard time finding my way around campus. How do I get to the admission office, my faculty (department), library, bookshop and other important places? 

SIGNPOSTS... 

This really helped. 

At every strategic points, there were sign posts and these sign posts gave a clear description of where I was and where I'm going to. I didn't need to ask questions anymore. 

You should also get a SIGN POST

I mean, have a clear description of who you are and what you stand for. 

There are many persons that will never behave in a certain manner around you because of your SIGN POST. There are persons who won't even go as far as saying "Hello" by just taking a look at you. 

What do you stand for? What defines you? what are your values? What will a person see about you from afar off? 

You surely need to set up standards that will set you apart and keep you in a safe zone. You attract your kind.
